Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding..." My prayer is something you read here will encourage you to draw closer to the King and enter into His service, and if you do not know this King of Kings, I am honored to deliver His invitation to you. An invitation... to come home.
Know that you have sinned, turn away from your sin, ask Jesus to forgive you, and allow Him to live in you - accept His invitation, accept His gift of salvation, accept His offer of everlasting life with Him.

In the first century, there was a giant oak tree in a village in Germany which the people considered the sacred oak of Thundergod. They believed this tree had supernatural powers over them. The English missionary Boniface went to this village to preach the gospel to the pagans there, but he won no converts because the people feared the tree. He then took an ax, and chopped down the tree while the pagans watched in terror. They quickly discovered the only power this tree had over their lives was the power they had given it. To further prove the tree had no power, Boniface built a church there out of the wood from the tree! The word quickly spread about what had happened and many came to know Christ as a result.
Even today, people ascribe power and authority to people and things which don’t deserve it. We allow peer pressure from friends, family, and co-workers prevent us from witnessing of our faith. We allow television, radio, and film to determine what is acceptable instead of doing what God would have us do. We allow our government to pass laws which we know are abominations before God, without even speaking out. We need to switch from a “what would people think?” mentality to a “what would God think?” mentality. Cut down that temporal worldview and build an eternal one. Know that God is the ultimate authority, and the only thing that really matters in this life is how we live it. Live it for Jesus!
Is there a Thundergod tree in your life? Cut it down! Chop it up! Use the wood to build a church!
