The King's Invitation

Looking for meaning in your life? Wondering why you're here? Feel like there must be something more? Tired of trying and struggling to make sense of it all? You are hearby invited to find the answers...

Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding..." My prayer is something you read here will encourage you to draw closer to the King and enter into His service, and if you do not know this King of Kings, I am honored to deliver His invitation to you. An invitation... to come home.

Know that you have sinned, turn away from your sin, ask Jesus to forgive you, and allow Him to live in you - accept His invitation, accept His gift of salvation, accept His offer of everlasting life with Him.

STOP going to Church!

STOP going to church!  It’s all wrong!  Somewhen along the way, we got this so messed up, how can we ever fix it?

Ok, before you start casting those stones, let me clarify;  I regularly attend services at my local place of worship, and I encourage you to do the same.  But we’ve got to get out of this idea of “going to church”.  WE ARE THE CHURCH!  Some of the older generations called Sunday services gathering with the church.  I like that!  When we come together, we are uniting as the Body of Christ.

You see, for a long time, I had it all wrong.  I was residing in the world and on Sundays and Wednesdays would leave the world to go to church.  How can we live victorious lives when we are only a part of the Body of Christ for a few hours a week?  Now I am in the church all the time, and only go to the world to work, etc.

Maybe you’re thinking “what’s the difference”?  The difference is critical, especially in regards to evangelism.  If we’ll walk daily as part of the church, walking in prayer, walking in repentance, walking in relationship with Christ, and be separate from the world, we can be true witnesses.  Lift up Jesus to the lost, instead of conducting a church membership drive.  Stop trying to convince your lost friends and relatives to go to church, and show them instead how to go to Jesus.

Take the church to someone this week – you’ll both benefit.

Stop going to church

GLORY! COULD YOU SHOUT THIS FROM THE CAPITOL DOME, PLEASE?! My husband and I have been undergoing quite a metamorphisis the past 6 years, and what you said has been the message. Often misunderstood, we have struggled to find those in our area with like minds.Redifining words and things like:"fellowship"-vs. intimacy, "worship"-acts vs.attitude of obedience and humility,"service"-not a time and place, but a lifestyle. That is our mandate, and we are seeking God's way and timing to release it. IF the Body would catch on to God's original heartbeat- there would not be need for prayers for revival! Keep beating the drum, and more will come to hear you play.

Stop Going to Church

We praise God that He has made us the light of the world like Himself. A city set up on a hill which cannot be hid. Keep talking, keep sharing, and be the Church. These are the last days, Jesus Christ is coming again. He is coming for a Church that is gloriously on fire for him.

I totally agree

So many times we get stuck in that box. The great commision commands us to go and make desciples. The church to often takes up the view of let them come to us. J Vernon McGee made the observation that sheep produce sheep. The sheherd is there to tend to the sheep. Let's start thinking outside the box, and bring the church into the world. We are all called to be ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
